   ABOUT US

Audio Doctor was formed in March 2018, after Audio Design Rentals decided to close their service department.  My name is Mike Rubenhold., a drummer of 30 years, amateur recording engineer, and electronic technician of 20 years.  I began repairing pro-audio equipment in the year 2000 when I was hired on at the formerly known Professional Sound and Music.  I was running the service department after just a couple years and put in a good 14 years before they closed their doors. I learned more than I ever thought I would about audio electronics, acoustics and recording engineering, thanks to the wonderful mind of Mike Krewitzky. After closing their doors, a year and a half later, I set up shop and ran the service department at Audio Design Rentals. During this time, we bought out the well known San Diego Music Repair, when owner Jeff Maxwell decided to retire. After growing beyond the space available there, I rented an available space around the corner and opened what is now Audio Doctor.  I strive to continue to provide my pro audio repair services and customer support for all of my clients as well as anyone who would like to inquire about any future repair work, modification or restoration.  I believe in being available to my customers to answer any questions they may have and supporting them while standing behind my work.  I feel that customer service is something that has been left behind in the past decade or longer by many of the current manufacturers, and do the best I can to provide this  supportive philosophy that used to be.

Where provided in writing, the service dealer may charge a reasonable fee for services provided in determining the nature of the malfunction in preparation of a written estimate for repair.
